Weekly LF MMO Suggestion Thread- December 07, 2015

  • What are you looking for?: Something to casually sink time into. A game where I can seriously just screw around, explore, meet people, and doesn't force a heavy class system on me.

  • What games have you previously played?: WoW, Runescape, Maplestory, Tibia, Ultima, a little SWG, Tera, Aion, SWTOR, Age of Wushu (I really, really, very much so wanted to like this game but just lost interest) and quite a few more less popular.

  • What is your playstyle (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)?: Here's the thing, I used to be a Hardcore player, focusing entirely on grinding hard, PVP, and raiding. But I am over that aspect of MMOs. I'm looking to once play an MMO casually (mainly because how different my life has changed since and I lack the time). I want a game that I can pop into a few times a week and just enjoy leveling and exploring. I used to fly to the end game and hated everything between, but want to do the opposite now.

  • Any preferred mechanics?: Lack of hand holding. Something with heavy atmosphere and lore that will immerse me. Something sandboxy would be awesome, really just in the sense that there are many ways to play the game. A game the promotes exploration and engaging with other players. I would also really enjoy something that allows for solo play (just in the sense that I don't want to wait on people to adequately play).

  • Anything specific you want to exclude?: Theme park mmos. Queue systems, match finder, etc. Games that have tedious implementations, for the sake of increasing gameplay time. Games who have a huge focus on getting to the end game. Anything that is extremely grindy (in the sense that I might as well as develop a bot to play for me until I can get to the 'fun' part).
