Weekly newbie / discussion post

Yesterday a stranger decided to watch me skate and so I got nervous and fell.. I wasn’t able to fall correctly onto my side because I was right beside a car. So I ended up landing on my tailbone/back right hip area and got immediately back up and did one more run before calling it a day. I bent my elbows into like a crab walk position to try to break the fall and honestly at the time I didn’t think I took a bad fall at all when my ass hit the pavement. Everything looked fine whenever I checked my back out before bed last night too. I just felt some dull pain so I took Tylenol and put heat on it (thinking it was a muscle strain). But I looked at my tailbone/right back of the hip area this morning and now it’s swollen, doesn’t look bruised though. The pain has definitely increased, but I’m also used to back pain so I’m not sure how to gage how serious this current pain is tbh. My right leg feels kind of loose too and it feels like my right hip/kneecap is facing more forward now compared to my left hip/kneecap (I have weak hip flexors so my knees slightly turn inward). Has anyone felt like this after a fall? Like your leg feels loose, but not out of place. I shifted to icing that area now since I read that’ll help my situation better. I previously injured my lower back like 9 years ago, so I’m contemplating on visiting the doc or not (since I’m broke). Agh.. I’m so bummed and I want to skate again but I’m definitely going to wait until I’m healed. Does anyone recommend anything else (besides Tylenol and ice) that can help me recover? I can still bend over and touch my toes so I don’t think I seriously injured myself.
