Weekly Newbie Thread - Post questions about joining the AF or what a job is like here & here only - week of June 11

So being proscribed antidepressants is disqualifying all by itself? I should never have been prescribed them in the first place, I didn't even meet with the doctor who prescribed them beforehand. If I can get a letter stating that I should never have been prescribed them at all would this clear it up? Perhaps I can even track down the original doctor and ask him to write it.

Is this just a waste of everyone's time, or do I have a real shot at getting in if I can clear this up? I don't want to be dishonest, but the recruiter I originally went to told me "you shouldn't have said that" after I disclosed the antidepressants. Half the people online say to lie, half say not to, its really hard to find straight answers about this
