Weekly Newbie Thread - Post questions about joining the AF or what a job is like here & here only - week of October 14

When I was 10~ years old I got put onto a juvenile diversion program, because I shot an airsoft gun and the pellet ricocheted and hit someone. It gave them a welt and their mother called the cops. I did a year of community service, mandatory anger management classes, paid a few fines and its never come up since then. That was 10 years ago and since then I've never been in trouble with the law again and have done hundreds of hours of non-mandatory community service.

Since I was never fingerprinted or entered into any system that I can easily find is this something that would disqualify me? I am going to disclose it, but I'd rather not waste a recruiter's time if it's an automatic dq. Would it be a waste to email them to find out if this isn't something that would be common knowledge?
