Weekly Novel Discussion Series: Horus Heresy Saga: Mechanicum

I loved this book. Tbh, it's like, what, the 2nd book which I've seen which delves into AdMech society, with the other being Titanicus. We see inside the society itself and even though they claim to be "logical" there is still that human heart (which messes everything up, of course).

I think the MC having the ability to work with machines is a bit odd, but if you approach it from a Big E-planned-it view, you kinda get why it happens. It's like destiny but with Big E weaving the threads.

I'm really surprised that Kane went from BigE lover to cynical hard ass in later stories. The change in appearamce imho, represents how the universe has changed, from the glories of the Crusade to the darkness which we know and love. You'd think that Big E would have realized that directly talking to Kane to change his atitude/explain things would help but noooo.. because reasons.

I'd like to think that the MC is still there, watching over the void dragon and coming back in the distant future of the 41st millenium.
