Weekly Observations: What signs of collapse do you see in your region? [in-depth]

I’m one of those out of staters moving from Baltimore Maryland and let me just tell you, visiting Maine for the first time was the first time I ever could breathe through a clear nose. I almost cried, it was so overwhelming. When I went back to Baltimore, my nose immediately congested back up and until I get back up there, everyday down here feels like a slight suffocation and it’s driving me insane. I’ve lived this way for over 20 years. When I was a kid, my pediatrician mentioned how I was a mouth breather and I could get a surgery to fix that, but now I know why. Air pollution is no joke. Maine makes my brain feel…bigger. Down here in Baltimore, everything is on top of each other and makes you feel overcrowded and overwhelmed. Squished. It makes you appreciate space and how precious an untouched environment is
