On another note I find it frustrating to read so many comments and posts in this sub everyday with people apparently claiming that there’s “no alternative” to the current capitalistic system, and therefor we will all die. If I try to actually reply with alternative outlooks on this matter, I always get downvoted. It’s like people in here don’t even want to at least try to see an alternative way of living, no one wants to even know about it, or is curious about how they can live more sustainably and off grid.

Agreed, I hate this and it's why I somewhat avoid the sub, it's become a bubble of doomers. IMO it's important to know what's going on, the warning signs everywhere, but you know the saying, while there's life there's hope, and humans are resourceful.
