Can someone please give me advice? I got a parking ticket at the lot on Wazee where it meets Speer blvd.

It was issued by the Parking Revenue Recovery Service which is definitely not city of Denver. I think private companies hire them to patrol lots. It was Memorial Day and the lot was empty AF. The ticket is for $75....... I really do not want to pay it but I don't want it to affect my credit score since they wrote on the ticket that they will send it to collections after 14 days of non payment.

I've read other threads on here where people said they didn't pay it and nothing happened because they're not gonna take you to court over $75 blah blah, but I want to make sure I cover all the bases.

I've researched this pretty extensively and I did see somewhere that there is some law in Colorado that does not permit 3rd parties to affect a person's credit score? Can someone back this claim up?

Does anyone know if the Parking Revenue Recovery Service is contracted by the city of Denver?
