[Weekly Questions Thread] 07 March 2022

Hi guys, I'm nearing 30 years old and getting back into Pokemon.

I grew up on Gen I-IV and have hundreds of hours on them (Silver has a special place in my heart).

The last Pokemon game I truly enjoyed was Pearl. I was in high school and must have spent hundreds of hours playing it, looking for shinies, EV training, and eventually even hacking in my own Pokemon.

I have been majorly disappointed by all of the recent releases. I was so excited for Shining Pearl, but it just seems like they took an already great product and just removed anything that made the game challenging or fun. Before that I was very disappointed by Shield, and don't even get me started on Let's Go Eevee.

Are there any Pokemon games on the Switch that are somewhat challenging, and like the old generations? I hear great things about X/Y, but unfortunately do not have a DS anymore.
