Weekly /r/Games Discussion - What have you been playing, and what are your thoughts? - November 15, 2020

Bloodborne.

After buying the xbox one S last year, I have been exclusively playing this console. I own a PS4 (which was purchased 18 months after release) and Switch. The main reason for this preference is that I find the xbox controller more ergonomic over the others. Also, the cooling system works in a way that the console is silent when in operation.

My favourite games are those that are made by Fromsoftware. The recent hype around the demons souls remake inspired me fire up the PS4 for another run of my GOAT, Bloodborne.

I immediately noticed the way the controller felt in my hands, cheap. I also noted the irrelevant touch pad, and the light at the front of the controller. The console noise was so loud, members of my family asked wtf was the noise.

I am concerned with the Japanese compulsion with " gimmicks".I am concerned that Sony is trying to promote the dualsense as a gimmick that will not be relevant, just like the light and touch pad on the controller. I am also worried about the fact that Sony has overclocked. The cooling system rings alem bells.

It is for that reason I will purchase the XBS X first. Combined with the value of backwards compatibility as well as gpGae Pass, Sony needs to add more value before I will consider buying the PS5.

Was playing Bloodborne, controller has decided to malfunction. Had two go before this. Won't be back soon Sony.
