Weekly /r/headphones Discussion #44: Audeze LCD-2C

A lot of people have mentioned the rough treble and I agree it was the first thing I noticed. I really like the sound it’s a good sidegrade to the Atticus/HD650 and other more detailed upper mid biting phones. The treble roughness seems to be inherent in the drivers because I’ve owned every LCD-2 revision wise and while the early versions were darker, the treble was still rough and a little needle like it’s just prickest while having a coarse texture which is weird because the overall tone is lush.

It’s a really good headphone and I’m considering selling my Atticus permanently so I can have my LCD-2C and maybe the HD650 as a pair as they cover both aspects.
