I’m currently playing through the Etrian Odyssey series, and while I enjoy it, the lack of structure or narrative makes it hard for me to invest in it for long periods at a time. I’m thinking of picking up a more relaxing or story driven JRPG to play in-between burnout with EO’s dungeon crawling.

I think my taste in RPGs are pretty diverse. I don’t really have a preference between turn-based RPGs, TRPGs, or ARPGs. I also have a 3DS, Switch, PS4, and a decent PC, so platform isn’t too big of an issue except for Vita games.

Some examples of RPGs I’ve played are:

• Xeno series (except for Gears)

• Dragon Quest series

• Disgaea series

• Odin Sphere Liefthrasir

• Valkyria Chronicles 1

• Skies of Arcadia

• Trails in the Sky

• I’m halfway through Chrono Trigger?

• EarthBound series

• SMT Nocturne, IV, & Strange Journey

• Persona 2-5R

• Rune Factory 4

• Final Fantasy IV-VI, IX, Tactics, and World of FF (own but haven’t played FF7R)

• Fire Emblem 4, 5, 7-10, 15, & 16

• The World Ends With You

• Secret of Mana (own Trials of Mana but haven’t started yet)

• Etrian Odyssey Untold 1 & 2

• Suikoden I & II

• NieR Gesalt (own Automata but paused after the first boss battle, honestly haven’t thought about it until I made this list)

I’m open to anything, though. Or you can yell at me to finish Chrono Trigger already.
