Weekly /r/TEFL Quick Questions Thread - August 27, 2018

First post here, hope this doesn't break any rules.

I'm at a turning point and need to consider all options for earning a living. So here I am.

Key info:

52 years old

Master's degree, and 2 Bachelor's degrees

Will probably get a technical writing certificate in 2019

Loads of work experience, including 15 years in government

Dual Canadian-Australian citizenship

Single, no kids

What are my chances for landing a decent TEFL gig? From my reading it seems like my degrees and experience could be suited to teaching business English to adults.

For now I am focusing on Mexico and Vietnam.

I'd want something stable and long-term. I think my age is a barrier to getting employed in Canada and maybe Australia too, so living in either place may not be a viable option.
