Weekly /r/WormFanfic Discussion - What have you been reading, and what do you think of it? For the week ending April 11, 2020.

Perpetuance by Rescind is an "OP Taylor done well". She's got a fairly interesting Powerset in this one that deals a lot with some neat real-world science (if you can manage to follow). Unfortunately short, with only 4 chapters. Also deals less with "Taylor curbstomps people" and more with Taylor's mental trauma surrounding her trigger event.

As is my duty, I recommend Going Native once more; an SI fic that is exactly the opposite of what you might think. Instead of focusing on an unbelievably powerful SI saving the wormverse, the SI is instead dropped into the world about a year before the events of canon and suffers through the world of Worm until then. Instead of going straight to Taylor, the SI is instead concerned with his own group of friends that he's managed to gather. Going Native really manages to make the people of Worm feel very alive in places that Worm didn't expand on.

See You In The Dark is a fic with a similar premise, but instead of an SI, it's a crossover where Saiki Kusuo from "The Disastrous Life of Saiki K." is inserted into the beginning of Worm, where he proceeds to just...do his own thing. I really recommend this one because it is the first wormfic I've seen to implement drawings into its story; and I'm not talking fanart--The author literally draws out some scenes instead of writing them, and it's fucking amazing. See You In The Dark is worth reading for that alone. No knowledge of the Crossover Material is required, but I would recommend reading "The Disastrous Life of Saiki K." just because it's a good story.

Lastly, Conference Call, a Multi-Crossover fic where a bunch of different characters who are each from different stories get a mental chatroom that lets them speak to one another--and much more. The fic was pretty ambitious--planned to be a multi-media story--but it looks like it's dead now. Despite that, what is in Conference Call is still pretty good; It has a solid mystery and hook, and delivers pretty well on its main premise: Character interaction. Knowledge of the crossovers is strongly recommended, but I was able to follow it with only slight knowledge of one of the Canons, and no info on another. This fic is also the only one I've seen to have Kid Win as one of the main cast.
