Weekly RAD rocket ship thread

If the merger doesn't happen and it dips to $3 then I'll just double down and average lower, happy to be long in this one. Rite Aid stock rose 318% in 2013 just because the company didn't collapse, last quarter's results show that even without the merger they aren't that bad. The stock has a great deal of value in that pharmacies are the safest pharmaceutical play. Most consistent by far, everyone needs their drug store- even in a world where retail and brick an mortar struggle you got to go pick up your fucking medicine.. On the other hand if amazon starts selling Amoxicillin and shit then it's FUCKED. The data that the CDC released on the end of March's National Health Interview Survey show the number of people uninsured is at a all time low. Read: the number of people with prescription coverage has probably never been higher. There are some communities where Rite Aid is the only game in town, it's not going away.
The rumor news I've seen is that insiders tweeted and deleted Congratulations on Ohlhausen officially being named chairman of the FTC and if that's true and just not announced yet than this merger shouldn't have a problem. This "increased scrutiny" bullshit to me is just a sign they're finally doing something to show they did something and wrapping it up.
