Anyone feel like they are always expected to help out their family financially? My mom just called because she thought I was going to keep paying the insurance on the car. She saw the email showing her card had been charged and asked about it, even told me I should have asked permission. I got a bit smart and asked, was the car not in her possession? Are they not using the car? Have they not been using the car for almost 2 years now?
Why should I have to continue paying for the insurance? Especially since she likes to spend money left and right on non-essential things but expects me to help out when she is short. Sure, it's still in my name but as soon as everything opens back up, we're fixing that pronto. Why am I still paying bills at her house if I haven't lived there in years? I love my mom but I wish she was self-reliant financially. My husband is always floored at how much I have to do for her. It's draining.
