Weekly Srs Discussion Megathread

So I was laid off in October and it's been a WHOLE mess (my unemployment checks were delayed, I'm having a full-on identity crisis, it's the dead of winter in New England...) but... on the bright side:

A) I've had SO much time to relax. Even taking into account the "I need a new job" stress, I feel mentally and physically better than I have in years-- truly rested. I've gone through my entire house/closet/life and systematically gotten rid of things that don't bring me joy--you know, the shit I always said I would organize but was just too damn busy to do.

B) Obviously there's a lot of soul searching and I've finally realized that what I want to be doing is public affairs. This is gonna be a pivot, and it will be hard, but I feel so excited just having something to aim at, rather than just taking another project management job because I'm good at it.

tl;dr I don't have any Actual news to share but...I'm working on it. I think good things are coming. :)

And in the meantime, thank all you bitches for making me laugh at least once a day!
