Weekly Therapy Talk Thread

The setup at my current's therapist's practice is a bit weird, because it's a converted old house (or maybe just a really weirdly designed house), so the waiting space is right by the "offices" and it's not necessary for her to actually come out and get me. But even if her door is open and there's clearly no one else in there, I wait. I just want her to be able to decide when she's ready for me, if that makes sense.

Every other place I've gone has had a more conventional waiting area separate from the offices, and I've always waited for the therapist to invite me back.

Ah, except I just remembered the therapist who saw clients in her home. It was a bit odd to be sitting in her living room, and her husband would be puttering about in another part of the house. But the cats made up for it. Cats!
