The pale light reflected off of the the water, and the source of it moved the waves in an elegant fashion. On the side of the mountain, sitting on a tall rock that lays next to a grassy area, Relingduss curiously studies the movement of the water. Suddenly, a bird lands directly next to him, cawing at the water.
"Wow, you're a big bird!" Relingduss moves his hand out to touch it, but pulls back as to not scare it off. The bird with beautiful black feathers and bright, reflective eyes quickly turned to the interested Relingduss. Slowly, it walked to him, every now and then stopping and cocking its head, as if asking itself if it's safe.
"Good birdy, good." The bird was now next to Relingduss, looking out onto the ocean with him. Relingduss wondered about what the bird was thinking, approaching him like that. It was foolish. He could be a predator for all the bird knows! But the bird seemed to realize Relingduss' gentle nature.
"You seem very polite. I'm going to call you Mr.Bird." Mr.Bird looked at Relingduss when he said that, as if processing his new name. "You wild creatures are nothing but prey to us, yet you approach me. Why?"
Mr.Bird, using his wings, jumps up to sit in Relingduss' crossed lap. "Hm. I guess not all humans are bad. We kill and slaughter, but we still all have some sort of soft side." "But you creatures are practically all gentle..." He thinks to himself.
After a long while of sitting there, pondering about life and humans in general, Mr.Bird flies away. "So long, Mr.Bird! Have a good life!" As Mr.Bird goes off into the distance, Relingduss decides to sit up too. He hadn't planned on it, but he seems to have had a long meditation session with the bird. But now he had to get some activity!
"Ooh, what to do, what do do...? That's it! I'll go hiking! Get my muscles in shape!" Now having decided to hike, Relingduss begins to descend the mountain. He had already packed food and water, so he was set. All he had to do now was start hiking!
"This... Is so... BOOORING..." Relingduss unwillingly grudges through the mountain, bored out of his mind. He can't think of anything to make it interesting, so he decides to run to move faster through the mountain. Now dashing in between trees and vegetation, he sees more possibilities to make it an altogether more exciting experience.
"Oh, that looks fun!" Seeing a low, outward protruding branch, he jumps onto it the launches from it, sending him high into the air.
"Woohoo!" Landing on the dirt, he rolls to maintain momentum. Still running, he sees a sturdy looking vine hang from a tree, right in front of a rushing river that flows to the left, into a cliff that drops straight down. Dashing at full speed, Relingduss jumps to grab the vine, and swings from it to jump over the river, just barely making it over.
"Whoa, that was a close one!" Continuing to run, he slides under roots that rise above the ground, and jumps over tall bushes. Then, in the distance, is a large creature. It seems to be about to pounce Relingduss.
"Crap, this isn't good... what do I do? I don't wanna kill it, so I guess I have to run from it!" The creature charges Relingduss, but he jumps over it and continues to run. It gives chase as it turns around, running faster with each breath it takes. He tries to start climbing something, but the four legged creature follows with ease.
"I have... wheeze to... huff... lose this thing... wheeze" Relingduss is losing stamina, but his life depends on not stopping to breathe. suddenly, he approaches a drop off point on the mountain, where the only thing below the mountain is rock solid ground. "Alright, then... huff This really cough cough Sucks then..."
The creature approaches Relingduss. Upon a detailed look, it seems to be a black mountain lion. It inches closer and closer, until it pounces on Relingduss. Not knowing what to do, he leaps out of the way. But the lion doesn't see the cliff, and begins to fall. Relingduss doesn't want it to die, so he pulls out his hookshot.
"I'm so sorry about this..." Relingduss shoots his hookshot, impaling the lion's leg. With all of his strength, he begins to pull the heavy lion up. Slowly but surely, the lion crawls back up the mountain through Relingduss' pulling. The lion finally was fully dragged up, and Relingduss lay it down flat on the ground to tend to its wound.
"There, there... It's alright..." He took out a bandage, wrapping it around the lion's foot after cleaning it out with water. the lion stood up, looking at Relingduss. With a look of shock on his face, the lion licked Relingduss, then ran away.
"Huh. Today was pretty eventful. I better get back to the top of the mountain so I can rest." Relingduss proceeded up the mountain, where the glaring sun rose up once again.
