Question for you: did you find the way the comment is worded currently to be problematic? How so?

From my perspective the current iteration gets the point across without insulting sounding. It makes sure to assert what I thought he was trying to do with this comment so if I'm wrong (I was) he can just ignore me without further thought. And I made sure to note that I agree so he doesn't think I'm saying what I am because I agree with the original OP.

The original was far worse.

I mean I can just delete it but I think when you do something dumb it's important to take your lumps and learn.
