Weekly Weekend Thread - 03 December 2018

First time taking the JLPT in Japan yesterday (previously in Chicago), and have a few comments.

  1. They only had one bathroom open to the entire 2 (or more maybe?) floors of attendees at the Shibuya location. Absolutely horrible planning. I spent my entire break trying to find a konbini that didn't already have a huge line, and even then I just barely made it back with 2 minutes to spare. No time to drink or eat anything.

  2. We got put into one of those giant test taking halls I've only seen previously in dramas and movies. So depressing and lifeless to simply have rows of people in this giant room with no windows, pictures, or anything.

  3. The mindless Japanese way of doing things was on full display as those idiots held up yellow and red pieces of paper while explaining what would get you thrown out of the test. No need to hold up stupid pieces of paper.
