Weightlifting/Running moms: were you scared pregnancy would make these things less accessible?

There are professional athletes who are moms! :) And yes, some people have complications.

I was “geriatric” (over age 35) when pregnant and in good running shape when I got pregnant. I continued running, swimming, hiking, and yoga. I climbed until 2nd trimester and did occasional weight training. My OB, as I’ve heard is commonly stated, said that I was ok to continue on with whatever I had been doing before I was pregnant, but to eventually expect to slow down, to hydrate more, and to cut back or stop if it didn’t feel safe.

I had chiropractic care regularly from 2nd trimester on and I think that helped my body as things were shifting around. Also I tried really hard to eat well and gained 25-30 pounds. And my baby was small-average sized and about a week early.

No long term complications over here, except a little tiny pee if I sneeze 4 times in a row. That is rare, but I guess a side effect of pregnancy and birth.
