Welcome!

You’re naming cities with magnitudes more people. Of course the traffic in Calgary isn’t THAT bad but it feels pretty aggravating that for a city as widespread as Calgary is and as (relatively) population light as it is, so many key arteries are frequently jammed. I’m sure there are dozens to name but I live near 14 street and 11th, it takes me 20 minutes on the weekend to get to Marda Loop. And I’ve driven in Van and Houston a decent amount (Toronto a bit but mostly weekends) and maybe it’s just more because you expect it but traffic doesn’t seem that bad when you consider the volume it’s moving. I don’t even know why, maybe it’s because we seem to have pockets of density with only one (often way undersized) thoroughfare to get into and out of these places with poor LRT coverage that everyone just ends up log jammed in the same stupid spots. And well of course because we like to complain about traffic lol, it’s as engrained into our small talk arsenal as talking about the weather
