I once did a upgrade of a very to old E3 Trailer. They never used it even if the community confirmed it was a great upgrade.
Pissed me off.
The asked a other good Video maker to help them urgent to create a Video for a Game Convention to present at the booth.
It was only a couple of days left. He worked his ass of trying to help over the weekend and until late night.
They found it not good enough - and used from a different video producer the content who they paid for.
The angry part is - that professional video person used all the content the fan had made to create his video - as he had no time left. Creating the content takes up most of the work - running around in game recording until you get a view good scenes - takes hours of recording)
But not even thinking of rewarding the many hours of work the fan did - even so not used - his content was used and someone else got paid. Lol
I would have at least rewarded him with a in-game Lot or more. I mean the under appreciation of work many did for this Game is very sad.
Oh - but he is s Fan. Fans do all for "Medals" and "Royal Titles"
And him knowing that his content shows up should make him honored enough.
I mean if you do not ask for it - and they do it without being asked. Different story.
But they asked for help.
One a side note: Row Houses was a Gamers "creative Idea" that did lead to huge extra money raised. Far over a "6 digit number on extra money" raised due to that suggestion - they did not come up on their own.
Fans also gave them the idea of creating small table items of big items in the add on store - this idea given for free raising even more thousands of thousands of money for them.
But hey - a community event that is organized is far more worth of appreciation then someone creating new sources of income able to pay your staff.
Better to invite someone who pays directly 10 000 Dollars to a party.
Also i can share my experience with what challenge you will have -
They have no free camera movement installed. So you can only make without serious help of others players in game - behind your character action scenes.
That is a huge limitation on options.
