Launch Complex One is Rocket Lab's New Zealand launch center. It is where they build and launch their Electron Rocket.

The Electron Rocket is a electric cycle rocket. In traditional rocket engines some of the fuel and oxidizer is used to power turbopumps which then blast the fuel and oxidizer into the combustion chamber. For the Electron's Rutherford Engine a electric pump is used instead. This gives the engine higher fuel efficiency, however the batteries also increase the vehicles weight. The Electron makes do by using lightweight materials and dropping used batteries on the second stage.
