Almost everyone I know on the left I'm friends with here in my state has a gun. I have a gun as well but probably have only mentioned it on reddit maybe like once or twice on this account.

All my buddies back in Boston don't own a gun but to be fair its a little bit more tedious getting a firearm compared to the state I'm in now where you can literally just walk into a store with no experience and knowledge and just straight up buy any gun you please, 10 min background check.

I've probably only taken my gun out 5 times for target practice but just keep it in a safe 99% of the time. I believe if getting a gun was super easy more left leaning folks would have one, as more left leaning folks tend to live in bigger cities.

Gun culture is toxic as shit though. If you were to tell me all guns were to be banned I wouldn't give two shits if it actually meant for a greater good and it proved to be helpful for society in general. I'll never get the obsession with "they want to take my guns away" type folks.

But yeah if you go far left enough you'll find gun lovers there too who somewhat obsess over it.
