Well spoken homeless man, explains why you should never do crack

usually lower than 1/4

That's still pretty damned high. Not that I think that's anywhere near correct(well the lower part is) but the risk is there and not worth it for the general population. Even if it's only 1/30 or 1/50 people that try it get hooked. I know plenty of casual crack smokers and by that I mean they smoke it once(one session which could be 2 or 3 days possibly) every year or so at the most, and you would never know or think it. Lawyers, corporate executives, psychologists. They have money and like to party hard when they can but know their limits and the risks. A get together in London for a rave one summer and maybe burning man the next year. Then back to busting ass the rest of the year. Again, the risk is high and they know that and that's why they have those rules.

But one thing all these people have in common though(besides saying crack is their favorite drug) is they have jobs they love that require a lot of their time and hobbies to keep them busy. So they have to make time to do it. If you have money and lots of time it's easy to fall into a 2 or 3 week bender and you're dangerously close to over the edge at that point.

But that's just anecdotal kids. Don't do crack becasue a guy on the internet said he knew a few people that have done it for 15 years and don't have a problem. They can all have a bad life event and fall into the abyss and it's all she wrote. It's not worth it.
