Maybe because the rates of trans people have only recently exploded drastically, particularly amongst young girls? Government moves notoriously slow, trans people were (and still are) and miniscule portion of the population. Policies just have to catch up and in the meantime discussions will continue to happen. Transgenderism is a social issue, not a political one but unfortunately it's been take over by the sphere of politics.

And yes, you can be a pearl clutching snowflake even if you're black or trans. I'm bi and have been a part of the LGTBQ community. It's the biggest group of pearl clutching perpetually offended people I've ever met who'll go far out of their way to be offended and let you know about it.

I stay far away because I would never wanted to be associated with them. Granted I'm a bi white male (aka, lowest on the totem pole and certainly no black kween trans woman) so I was never really welcomed anyways.
