Wellness Weekend

I have a question for all y'all here and I am hoping to get some advice: I basically just went through the most stressful period of my life and had chronic anxiety (being treated for it atm and it's getting better so yay) and when I get stressed my stomach feels as if it is in a knot and I can't eat. Now that I am seeking help for the issues that were causing me to get so stressed out in the first place, I have noticed that my appetite in general is much smaller than it used to be. Since I am now in the underweight category, a psychologist I spoke to told me to increase my caloric intake. I am currently doing that; however, although I am consuming calorically dense foods, I have to eat until I feel physically sick to my stomach to reach my calorie needs for the day which naturally is very unpleasant. I don't know if this is the right way to go about gaining weight; eating until you feel sick just feels wrong? I also feel like I am just setting bad habits for myself with food? I suppose I should talk to an actual registered dietician about this, but I'd also like to hear anyone else's 2 cents on this topic
