Welp, 30 hours later, I beat it. (WALL OF TEXT + SPOILERS WARNING)

I just finished the game and had no idea there was so much hate attached to it. I am a female and I absolutely loved the story and deeply cared for Ellie and Abby. Abby felt like the enemy at first and I was surprised at how much Abby playtime we got but as it went on I realized I needed this time to really get to know and understand her. She’s tough as shit and I love that she’s not petite or feminine with her tits hanging out, she’s Abby; she lives in world where in order to survive you need to be strong and ruthless. It seems realistic to me that women would be jacked (maybe not that jacked..) in such a cut throat world. Personally I’m so sick of how females are portrayed in games, I’m so sick of always being forced to play as a male character. My entire life of gaming has been me being forced to play a male character (for the most part). I love that they addressed real life issues that are current it helped me emerge myself even further into the game. Who the fuck cares what Abby and Elle look like, I fucking love the shit out of them. I know I’m not the only female who plays video games and there are certainly ppl of all sexuality’s playing them too, and for us games like this are a fucking revalation so fuck typical game female stereotypes, I’m sorry if any delicate male sensibilities can’t handle something raw and different and outside the norm of the typical bullshit gender representations. Abby and Ellie FOREVER fuck stereotypes !
