Were you on the panic side and changed your mind? What made you do it?

I was on the panic side and I changed my mind but I don't really think of it that way because it wasn't really like there was one event that 'opened my eyes'. It was just that I was responding as best Ic ould to the most up to date trustworthy information. In Feb and March when we knew nothing and all the information coming out of Italy and China was spooky, a healthy amount of panic was the right thing. Later, when we got more data and experience and figured out we were wrong, the panic stopped being justifiable. I kept looking for data, and when I collected enough data to convince myself it was ok, I convinced myself it was ok.

If I could point to one specific thing, it's age-linked mortality risk data. As soon as I had enough detailed and trustworthy data to conclude that the risk to me personally and the people in my life is basically zero, I stopped panicing.
