West Fraser timber

A WF foreman once told me that when the price of oil drops or crashes low enough where they can reduce their fuel costs by 30 percent is when timber production ramps up an so do profits. And of course forrest fires affect the price as well. 2017 had over 300 fires that year..iiric. I'd be curious what direction the stock price moved during fire season between April to October of that year. It's also seen by some an inverse or hedge against oil..If true, then I think youre right OP. However I might not be. WF is the biggest mill in my town and we also had one of the largest fires in the country. I have worked as a planter on a WF block. And they are still planting a shit tonne of trees in those burn areas. Good luck OP.
