West Ham ready to clear way for Lingard loan by buying Benrahma this month

Yeah I know you've got it in for Moyes because he didn't change the entire team to accommodate Haller. I know you're hurt and upset by that, but shut the fuck up mate. We're having our best season for 30 years, with a dysfunctional squad, and it's because of Moyes. Stop being a quintessential internet fan and have a bit of perspective.

I haven't 'got it in' for Moyes and it's not just about Haller. I think he's an inflexible manager with very fixed ideas about what makes players good and I think he can't manage players who are lacking in confidence, and nothing he's done has changed my mind on that. You will note that despite that I've consistently said he deserves another long contract and control of transfers, because he's doing a good job and deserves to continue that. That doesn't mean I won't point out his shortcomings as I see them.

He's done well so far but we've been very lucky with injuries. We've got no cover for Rice/Soucek, no cover for Antonio, no cover for Cresswell until Mas is fit (and Mas is even worse in a back 4 than Cresswell is), but sure, let's sign cover for the one area of the pitch we actually have cover for.

I'd rather we didn't need Fornals on the left to help Cresswell, but we do, because he's not good enough defensively. If we want to play three Benrahma type players we'd need to buy a new LB, who'd cost money we don't have.

So handing money to Lingard to bench warm for six months helps us get money to sign an LB....how? Half his salary means we'll be paying him £50k a week - that's a lot of money for a club like us for a bench warmer, a couple of million over the length of a loan contract, plus whatever loan fee we pay.

Are you saying top teams don't buy depth players?

As I said to someone else, yeah, if you've got Lewandowski, sure, sign depth for him. But if you haven't got Lewandowski, you can probably improve on the player you've got, so you should try and do that. If we are signing new AMs they should either be able to provide something different to the ones we already have, or they should just be better. Lingard provides neither of those.

If you're in the monitory in complaining about things during our best ever PL season perhaps it's because you're a whingy twat.

Or perhaps it's because I've been a fan of this club for 20 years and have seen the same things repeat over and over again? Bilic and Pellegrini were both inflexible managers with very fixed ideas about what they wanted from their first team and no plan outside of that, and look how it ended for them.
