We've just seen 15 new mysterious cosmic radio bursts from space

War. Since before the dawn of humanity our oceans have been filled with cunning creatures, in a fight for survival each creature wagers it's own unique abilities against that of others. We are blissfully unaware of the battles fought day and night for the next meal. We escaped the oceans and we evolved, but to what end? To prosper on land, to conquer yet more resources on a world overflowing with oceans? We fear the ocean, so we look outword, into a universe so vast it may from time to time calm our fear of the deep, but for how long? How long will we stare into the deep reaches of our universe, how long will we ignore our fear of that ever closer deep. Alien life has always been much closer to home than we care to realize. Take the Fermi paradox as an example. No alien life separated by lightyears have any means to properly communicate. The vast reaches of time alone render any of those ideas to ashes, because any old message we receive was sent by a long dead civilizations. But what about messages sent from the oceans? Why don't we ask the same questions about UFOs as we do our own world? We seek friendship from the cosmos, because maybe THEY can help us to deal with Wales and Sharks, that's the real fight. If we ever send a message to the universe ourselves, it will be a call for help. The Wales and Octopii are at war, but when they finally settle their differences they will be coming after us.
