Hi, I am planning to move to Australia.

I have been an external auditor for 4 years, and an accountant for 4 years.

I consulted two agents and one said that I have 8 years of experience because my external auditor experience (and job description) qualifies under 2211 ACCOUNTANTS as well. The other one said that I only have 4 years of experience and can only apply for EITHER the Auditor 2212 category, or Accountant 2211.

Which agent is correct?

Accountant 2211 Provides services relating to compliance-based financial reporting, auditing, insolvency and accounting information systems; and advises on associated record-keeping requirements. Registration or licensing may be required for certain services such as auditing.

Auditor 2212 Conduct audits of accounting systems, procedures and financial statements, manage corporate funding and financial risk, and administer and review corporate compliance activities.
