I don’t think you can assess the support for Wexit by looking at how many people like their Facebook page. Right now, the support is around 25-30% based on recent polls. Wether these numbers would soar in the event of a referendum campaign remains to be seen.

I don’t understand how other provinces feel like they can tell others what to do. We live in a democracy, and I fully support the democratic right to leave the federation if a majority wants to.

As for agreements, Québec, we wanted to be able able to back away from federal programs with full compensation (basically, give us the money it would cost you to run the program in Québec), something we already do in few instances. And we also wanted to be recognized as a distinct nation, something that is purely symbolic. It was basically a zero sum agreement. On the other hand Alberta wants to lay pipelines across other province’s land, leaving any spill the sole responsibility of the province the spill happens in.
