WGU has spoiled me :.) I want a Doctorate from WGU dammit.

I disagree with the part that WGU is a joke. When I worked on my undergrad at a brick and mortar university in biochemistry, I got a job as a chemist. 1/3 of the material learned in school was not applicable to the chemist and microbiology jobs I worked in. Only a minute fraction was necessary to perform the job. I ended up moving into technology and I got so many replies from employers after getting an IT degree from WGU. Times have changed and I feel that what is necessary to be successful in todays job market is not always necessary from a B&M school. People who hyper accelerated through programs (like me) have years of industry experience. Many people are not able to move quickly through a program. It is dependent upon each persons unique mindset, life, and work experience. Most people I know who attended WGU are experienced professionals in their line of work (IT), and used it as a check box during the hiring process. Very few employers really care about where you got your degree as long as the institution is accredited, and WGU is.
