I tried making some arguments that have little to do with the fact at hand, and rather why i don't think it makes any difference, but you appear to actually be so desperate to call someone out for "Homophobia" you purposefully dodged most of my comment to say that i "Told on my self."

I have nothing agaisn't the LGBT community. Trans people are valid, homosexuals are valid, Bi people are valid, any one that says otherwise is a close minded bigot.

But when a writer or designer, or whatever that guy is, just tells us the sexual orientation of a character, whose sexual orientation doesn't have anything to do with what is happening, you have got to admit that it's absolutely utterly pointless.

I'd have the same problem if he said "Miss Pauling is a Straight Cis Woman".

I don't know the context behind the "revelation", so if he was asked about her sexuality, it makes sense, and my arguments are invalid, otherwise its just absolutely random information, that feels like it's just trying to please a community.

If it was told in a comic, or in an animation, or whatever, where the revelation was relevant to what was happening, i'd buy it. In fact, i can see it. Scout asks her out once again, and she, being tired of it, just reveals that she doesn't swing that way.

It's not all black and white. Even if one supports a certain thing, he doesn't have to show unconditional support for every member, and every situation that involves that thing.

I couldn't care less what gender you'd like to be, or what gender you're attracted to, and i believe that a world where people are no longer bothered by these types of things is something to look forward and fight for, i am a man, who has on occasion also felt attraction to other men, though i'd rather not admit that in front of anyone because of close mindedness and ignorance.

The future is that of acceptance, but acceptance won't be achieved by making additions to fictional characters, or by changing your company logo to a pride rainbow.

In fact i believe that it has the exact opposite effect. People who are already close minded will not suddenly open their minds when something LGBT related is crammed in their faces, they will grow more ignorant and less accepting.

So, no, my problem is not that Miss Pauling is a lesbian, it's just that, it's forced.
