What do you think about 5th Edition multi classing?

I'm fond of my Druid Barbarian. Really fond.

Go druid of the moon, pick half orc. Start Barbarian for profficiencies and barb hit die. Then drop 2 levels into Druid, and then 1 into barb.

Over all level 4. With standard array you get 17 str, 14 dex, 16 con, 8 int, 10 wis, 8 cha. Without a shield, 15 ac, with a shield 17 ac.

You can rage, and be a bear at the same time. Multi attacks important from the bear, as it gives you more opportunities to crit in a turn. When. you do crit, add your half orc racial Savage attacks for extra damage dice. Also, you're attacking recklessly so both of your attacks are with advantage. Don't want to revert to human form on one big attack? That's ok, relentless endurance. Don't forget to apply the rage damage, as those natural weapon attacks, which importantly are classified as melee weapon attacks will in fact apply the rage damage. Oooh multi attack, so better apply that for both attacks. Also, you get Danger sense from barbarian and your choice of utility druid spells. With Average hitpoints, you'll have 41 hp at level 4 in human form.

Oh, and all that strength you have as a Bear? Yeah you have advantage on all your strength checks, so feel free to destroy walls, or shove things. Don't think I can grapple as a bear however. I'm unsure.

DM house rules that I could either use my natural armour when wildshaped, or unarmoured defence. I personally disagree with it, but I'll use what ever he throws at me and if it gets silly, we have a mutual understanding that he can change what ever he wants. So as a bear you'll have 15 ac instead of the 11 or so. Despite that, I've still almost died twice, with only one other person getting close to death, but that was in an ambush situation.

It just feels so dirty, but the DM's good at throwing a sizable chunk at me, which lets me play Tank for the group, so they can dish out their insane damage.
