What do you think about Donald Trump refusing to release his tax returns?

I have to admit this issue bothers me . I work in corporate audit for a big 4 company. I audit balance sheets and P/L statement of large firms listed in the stock market. I always have to disclose whether or not I own any shares in these firms as I have access to information and accounts not available to public shareholders. I couldn't even imagine if my director in the office proudly boasted that he doesn't need to fill out the disclosure forms and just declares that he owns no shares in the audit companies he is signing off on. Even worse would be if some of my colleagues defend the director's actions and say that he doesn't need to do it even though they have to. A more relevant example is public defendants and judges who are prohibited to take a case or a client if they have a conflict of interest.

I think all public officials who want to represent and work on our behalf should make public their finances. We want less corruption in government yet some don't care whether a public official may personally benefit from a policy or an action he/she implements. I think we can do better than.
