What about going to the gym solely to be as healthy as possible?

I basically go for that reason. That and I find it fun. I don’t want to be one of those people that grow old and break down. My intention is to keep this meat machine in the best shape possible so I can enjoy it into my 70-80s.

I’m 40 and am one of the fittest at my gym of any age. I have a very physical job so most of my work is focused on balancing muscle groups and working small muscles that keep the joints functioning as well as cardio.

Nutrition is a big part of my life as is meditation and just generally low stress and having fun.

At 40 physically I have no complaints except the occasional injury I heal quickly from.

It’s definitely worth the investment of time and energy.
