Honestly reading some of these comments I wonder whether I'm watching the same show. Hugo himself has never said he deserves better than the girls who went after him, he never acted like he was out of their league and he also didn't call them too forward. In fact he said he liked AJ's confidence and he thought Georgia saying she liked him was a bold move and he wanted to get to know her. He just didn't find much in common with them after they chatted. Both Georgia and AJ have said they didn't feel it either.

Chat wise I don't think he's any worse than the other guys. Jake is downright slimey and a little pervy with some of the stuff he comes out with, Liam actually has zero flirting skills and gets by pretty much on looks, Toby literally flirts like a 15yo. The only ones with good chat are Teddy and maybe Tyler.

I think Hugo gets less allowance for the shit chat than these guys because- he's more gentle looking. He's not big or stocky or brawny so he looks less powerful. He also has a posh voice and I think a lot of his humour gets misread simply because of his natural tone. Best examples of this is when he called himself a "nice guy" which was clearly supposed to be a joke because all the girls kept calling him too nice, and everyone thinks he was serious and say "oh he's a self-labelled nice guy he's clearly a weirdo". Also when he made the comment to Toby about "I know you like the game" he was clearly trying to just make a joke out of the argument to try and clear the air, but everyone took it as him trying to cause another fight. His natural tone is just a little too deadpan.

At this point I think the girls in Casa aren't going after him because they know that he's massively lost popularity on the outside, and that they'd have more chance of going further in the show by turning the heads of one of the popular guys and causing drama than by getting with someone who is already very unpopular with the public and likely to be going home soon whether they couple up or not.

I feel heartily sorry for Hugo cos basically the worst thing he's done is tell two girls he only sees them as friends, and call a guy out for objectively shitty behaviour, and as a result of all this he's been called an arrogant racist creepy "nice guy" loser. It's a bit much.
