What do you think about Kasich?

Imagine that you're a woman and you have been raped. The loss of control, the powerlessness, the desperation, everything. You want to forget about the whole thing, but now your life has been radically changed as you're now pregnant. A few months later you gave birth to a child you didn't want from someone you hate, and you give it up for adoption. Now your body has experimented dramatic physical changes, you've gone through the life-changing experience of motherhood yet refused to embrace it because it was against your will. Now you'll regret having left your child up for adoption for the rest of your life.

Then keep it

Or let's say that instead, you decide to keep the baby because you can't stand the regrets. Now every time you look at him or her you get a slight reminder of the horrifying experience you went through. You might be able to forget what happened and think of him as your child, but that's probably not the case. In fact, you might end up despising him, because when he's in your arms you can't help but think of what happened, and so you keep your distance.

My. Cousin. Experienced. It. And. Is. Fine. I will take her word over yours

And to make things worse, since the baby was completely unplanned, you might have had to stop your studies, or sacrifice many things in your life that you would have liked to do before having a baby (or maybe you just didn't want to have kids). That kid isn't likely to be growing up in a loving family, but rather from a single mother who won't be able to love him as he deserves even if she tries.

My cousin loves her son just fine. If she didn't want to make sacrifices she could have adopted

Even if you think that a life is a life is a life, you have to acknowledge that for many, if not most women, it'd be a terrifying experience to have to bear such a trauma for that long. Even if you defend the lives of embryos a few months old, you can't just ignore the extreme cruelty that would be preventing those women from regaining control over their own lives.

You are aware when a women gets raped she can immediately go to a hospital and get medicine that kills the baby, right?

Please don't go full men's rights on me. I completely agree with the right of men not to take care of a child if the woman decides to go through with her pregnancy, and I also agree that modern feminism is getting dangerously distorted with pro-woman sexism. What you need to understand is what I told you in the paragraphs above.

I understand it fine, it's just not as big of a deal as you make it as proven by what I've heard first hand from my cousin

Being forced to carry the baby of your rapist is no different from being forced to marry him. The only difference is that in the first case, according to your views, at least you don't have to kill a baby embryo, but that doesn't make it any less brutal for the woman.

No, it's not the same thing at all

I'm arguing from your perspective that a non-sentient mass of cells embryo is as alive as a human being. But you also have to understand that something that isn't even alive can't really be killed. What's the difference between an egg or a spermatozoid dying (what happens all the time) or a fertilized egg which has had mitosis a few times dying? (by the way, natural abortion is way more common than regular abortion, even though it happens at the early stages of pregnancy most of the time).

My argument had nothing to do with being pro life or pro choice, just that you need to choose one or the other. Either you think it's a life or you don't. Quite frankly I don't care about your beliefs so quit trying to argue them, if I wanted to be pro choice I would be, but I'm not, for good reason

Not even Obama nor George Bush are that crazy.

Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush also proposed the same thing. Something tells me that Obama and GW Bush wouldn't have a problem with what they proposed. You need to do your research before you start discussing politics on the Internet. You clearly haven't, or else you wouldn't think this is such a radical view

Sure, but you literally can't make them pay taxes if you don't give them some kind of amnesty, because the second law enforcement found out they would be kicked out before they're even able to pay taxes!

That's funny, I LITERALLY know illegal immigrants that pay ALL their taxes. Crazy, right?
