Not sure if this is the appropriate place to do this, but there's a bunch of guys in my hometown who are randomly incredible Jimmy Hart marks. They spent years trying to do something similar every year to get him in town as a surprise for one guy's birthday but at the end of the day had to go through Hart's agent and set up a formal autograph signing. When they finally got Hart booked at some way overpriced amount because they weren't guys used to doing business with wrestlers, the agent pulled Hart the night before the autograph signing saying that Hulk Hogan needed Hart at the HBO Andre the Giant movie premiere (he was at the premiere but that was obviously set up way in advance). They sent the guys Lanny Poffo in his place. But here's the thing. Lanny Poffo treated these guys like kings. This sub buries him like he's a piece of shit, but Lanny showed up and literally hung out with these guys and did their birthday shenanigans all day like they wanted Hart to do when they could only get the autograph signing. He also did a full scale historical tour of my hometown of 8000 people that is basically Pawnee Indiana and was taking mark pics with statues and such. He even hung around the next day and went to the area's larger city (hour and a half away) with the guys that booked the autograph signing and hung out with them some more. Like the dude made sure that the one guy's birthday was the best birthday he had ever had.
