They are privatizing Electricity, in short.

I am not sure. PDD is being merged with Grid dept. which will be sold to Private companies. Employees are afraid that this will cause problems. Private companies may not pay as much, they will not employ engineers from local areas, Electricity Bills will surely go uphill.

Locals on other hand have no idea of future. They don't seem to care about Protest. In my area, some people raided Powerhouse and harassed Linesman. People have been doing so for a long time. Many people don't have legal connections. They don't pay bills. I have seen people (who are middle class) with up to lakh in debt for electric bills.
