What was actually said in the Lebron-Steph conversation from Marcus Thompson, which means it came directly from Steph.

I know people are gonna hate this speculation, but there may possibly be a racial overtone to this. Think I heard from Jorge sedano on his morning radio show and his Co-hosts that part of the resentment stems from speculation on the aforementioned stars' parts that stephs popularity partially is attributed to the lightness of his skin, making his popularity more palatable perhaps to white America (according to sedano's account). I think the sedano and his Co hosts were focusing on LeBron and cp3's perspectives, who are good friends and happen to be.... not that "light skinned" and didn't rise to the seemingly unconditional, steph can do no wrong levels of popularity circa 2015 (which of course he has since fallen back down from to levels of "normal" popularity it seems). This could be completely baseless and I may be irresponsible for saying it but I thought it was an interesting perspective advanced by a media member who of course flew in the orbit of LeBron during LeBron's heyday in Miami.
