What advice would you give a woman who's in her 40s and has never dated or had any sort of romantic relationship but would like to?

I love that you have hobbies and think you absolutely should talk about those.

I could. I'm just not sure any guy would want to hear about them. Or would tire of them very quickly.

And your dog- do you do dog parks, walks, or like to hang at home?

My apartment complex has a walking trail around a pond that I take my dog to.

Ask a friend who knows you well to help you write a profile, I’ve helped several friends over the years.

I don't really have any friends, unfortunately. I've always been a bit of a loner. In fact, I have to have a colonoscopy this year, and it's embarrassing to admit, but since I have nobody to take me to it, I have to hire a medical transport service.

Also, I wonder if you might do better at a meetup type event rather than jumping into dating- like a singles group?

Are there those? I looked into meetup groups for things I might like, such as walking or cooking, but they're almost entirely other women. And that's not a bad thing, of course, it's just that I'm not going to meet many (or possibly any) men that way.

Thank you for your advice. I appreciate it.
