What affect does your partner's sexual history (as in number of past sexual partners) have on the way you view them?

BTW: I just ask out of curiosity as my bf and I had a discussion about our past the other day (we've been dating almost 3 years). I was kind of shocked by his "number" because he has always spun the sensitive side of things...saying he wants to connect and been a little judgey about my past. Well, turns out that even though I'm older than he is, his number is at least double what mine is. It kind of has bothered me, but I think that is only because he acted like such a goody-goody who only had sex with girls who meant something to him. He always acted like he couldn't understand how I could have sex with someone and not have any type of bond with them...but apparently Romeo forgot that he isn't so innocent after all.
