I started shaving everything when I was 12 because my hair became dramatically thicker and darker, especially because I’m Middle Eastern. I hated how it looked and my mom suggested I shave it and I was much happier and more confident. I was getting to an age where I was more aware of how I look when I go out with my friends or go to school. Some of my friends started at 10. It really depends on when the individual believes they want it because it’s also a big commitment for someone of those ages to stick to and they need to be ready to use tools carefully and take care of their skin. I think between 10-13 is very fair, especially if body hair is making them self-conscious.
