What you all think?

Teachers absolutely need to get paid more. I barely passed high school and dropped out of community college. I am now a food service manager and I make six figures. My wife, who went to college for four years with a fantastic gpa and then had to get certificates and licenses makes about $50000. This should not be the case.

She is looking to change careers for this exact reason. Between the huge amount of (unpaid) time she spends working outside of her 40 hours, the money she has to spend for supplies and things for her students, and the fact that teachers are getting less and less respected, it’s just not worth it for her anymore. She loves working with children and it’s all she’s ever wanted to do but there’s a limit to how much shit somebody will take.

Statements like the one in the picture are dumb and really only serve to have the working classes resent each other instead of the government, who is fucking us at every turn. Everybody should be able to make a livable wage, whether you choose to have a four year degree or pursue a skill.
